Condition of an object is usually defined as its adjustment into a system that allows its attempts in affirmation or obsolescence. The artworks taking part in Abt Forms exhibition, constitute I would say facets of this kind of adjustment. ?he artists examine possibilities or “ways of making” according to Valéry, that would allow the object itself – flat or multidimensional – to record, through its wholeness or partial distribution, its presence in the space.

“We are assigned or impelled to repeat indefinitely the movement that embraces the object”, the French scholar emphatically writes in General Concept on Art ‘Notion générale sur l’art’ (1935). “The body is - nothing more, nothing less – but the condition of possibility of the object.” The exhibition participants seem to touch upon the basis of a similar conviction. They comprehend the world’s existence through experience, thus the object as “object of experience”.

This exhibition’s artworks are noted for their independence and autonomy. They savour a wholeness – I would call it and a predisposition or an aptitude for immersion – indicative of a primarily stylistic introversion. They seem to be, or undoubtedly are, contemplative. Collectively they discuss the fundamental and, nonetheless, guiding aspects of the form.
